Support Group for High School Students with ADD/ADHD or Exec.Function

This support group is for all High School students with ADD/ADHD or Executive Function issues [Diagnosed or not]. Meetings are held on the 1st Sunday of every month.

Students will discuss issues caused by ADD/ADHD and strategies for dealing with them, as well as other ADD/ADHD topics.

To allow for a safe space for teens to share their struggles and concerns, we ask that parents not attend the meetings.

Disclaimer: This is NOT a therapy group. It is for the support and communication with other students with some of the same ADHD issues and may have strategies that help.

About the Support Group Leader: Anne S. Roberts, MA is a retired Fairfax County Public Schools’ teacher with a Special Education background in Gifted and Talented secondary students and additional certifications in all areas of English Language Arts and Humanities. She has led CHADD support groups for ADHD Adults, is a co-founder for the ADHD Resource Group of Northern VA, and was formerly on the NoVa CHADD Board of Directors as for Director of Support Groups and Director of Adolescent Services. She is a Coach and Educational Consultant for Underachieving Teens, specializing in Gifted, ADHD, and Right-Brained Visual-Spatial students and CEO at BrainRelief.org. Ms. Roberts has ADHD herself.
